The Pokewalker
The Pokewalker is a pedometer that comes with the game. You can transfer your pokemon into so you can walk with it. You can catch pokemon with it, as the pokemon you have inside can battle. You can play a game call the Item Finder and find an item if you select the right bush. In order to catch pokemon and items you have to walk to gain watts. You trade in the watts to find pokemon or items.Finding a pokemon : 10watts

Touch Screen Features
In Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver, there are different touch screen features from Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. In the touch screen side, where you are adventuring you can find the options (pokedex, pokemon, items, pokegear, save, and options). Next to them, they have the register items. You can have 2 registered items and you just have to click their icon. There is also a button the can make you run without holding B.Recently Updated

Pokeathlon
There is a new competition game in Heart Gold/Soul Silver. It replaces contests and super contests. The Pokeathlon Dome is next to National Park. In the Pokeathlon Dome, 3 of your pokemon will team up through out 3 mini games. There are snow ball fights, races, disc catching and more. There are shakes that will raise up your pokemon stats in the pokeathlon.Changes in HG/SS
- In this game, your first slotted pokemon will be following you.
- You can now have 2 registered items in your game.
- In the pokemon center, it is easier to go upstairs because you just have walk up the escalater.
- Instead of contests and super contests, you can play sports at the Pokeathlon Dome.
