On the latest edition of Coro Coro, the magazine provided many new information about X and Y, like new Pokemon and the region name. The region’s name is Karos and the region may have been inspired by France. They announced the name of a city called, Miare, which is in the center of Karos. Now your trainer can be customized slightly like changing the skin tone, hair color and eye color. Also the Pokedex is redesigned for a modern and current touch screen design. It will be a small square to travel in, but you can slide it open to see the screen for information. The names of the region and the city aren’t confirmed as the international names yet, so we have to assume it is only the Japanese names.

There are four new Pokemon announced for the Karos region. The four Pokemon are simply normal Pokemon that you can find in the Karos region. Just as the names of the region and city, we have to assume these are Japanese only names.

The first Pokemon announced is a panda Pokemon named, Yancham, who is a Fighting-type. It is the Naughty Pokemon and is currently 0.6m and 8.0kg. It will learn the move Parting Remark, which will lower the opponent’s stats and make them retreat.

The second Pokemon announced is a gentle goat like Pokemon named, Gogoat, who is a Grass-type. It is the Ride Pokemon and is currently 1.7m and 91.0kg. It will learn the move Horn Leech. It is speculated that you can ride this Pokemon onscreen.

The third Pokemon announced is a bird Pokemon named, Yayakoma, who is a Normal-type and Flying-Type. It is the Japanese Robin Pokemon and is currently 0.3m and 1.7kg. It will learn the move Nitro Charge. Yayakoma is a bird that is friendly towards humans and loves to chirp.

The last Pokemon announced is a lizard Pokemon named, Elikiteru, who is a Electric-type and Normal-type. It is the Generator Pokemon and is currently 0.5m and 6.0kg. It will learn the move Parabola Charge, which seems to be like Giga Drain but for Electric-type.

To help promote the Black and White- Plasma Freeze Trading Card Set, The Pokemon Company is holding a Wi-Fi event for Deoxys. Starting on May 8, 2013 until May 31, 2013, owners of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 will be able to receive a level 100 Deoxys through a Wi-Fi distribution. The Deoxys will know it’s signature move, Psycho Boost, along with Dark Pulse, Recover, and Nasty Plot. It will be also be holding a Life Orb.

On April 25, 2013 Nintendo released the Nintendo Wii U System Update 3.0 which improves loading times, automatic downloads and installations, other minor functions. Also, you can now visit the Miiverse community from a web browser or phone by going to miiverse.nintendo.net.

Director Junichi Masuda has announced a new Mewtwo like Pokemon during the recent Pokemon Smash episode. This Pokemon resembles Mewtwo in color scheme and some characteristics. The name of this Pokemon hasn’t been confirmed yet and also if this Pokemon actually has a direct relationship with Mewtwo. The Pokemon Official Youtube channel has uploaded a video of this Pokemon in action.

To me, it feels like they mixed a Mew and Mewtwo together. It seems to be the same size as a Mew with a splash of Mewtwo in it. Did the new region enemy cooperation create this thing? How do you like this new Mewtwo mini-me Pokemon?

March 24, 2013 has arrived and so did the Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL. The Pikachu 3DS XL was released earlier in different countries and now it has come to the United States. The Pikachu 3DS XL is has a MSRP of $199 so it is priced as a normal Nintendo 3DS XL. Many retailers are having special deals for the Pikachu. Target is selling the Pikachu 3DS XL for $159. Toys R Us is selling the Pikachu 3DS XL for $170 with a free $20 gift card. If you are planning on buying a 3DS XL, I would suggest buying the Pikachu 3DS. It’s worth the price, especially if you buy it on release day in Target or Toys R Us.

Also, Pokemon Mystery Dungeons and Luigis Mansion was released on the same day. Pokemon Mystery Dungeons is $34.99 and Luigi is $39.99. If you register any Nintendo 3DS XL (this includes the Pikachu 3DS XL) on Club Nintendo and register Luigi’s Mansion or Mystery Dungeon, you can receive a download game, which includes Star Fox 64 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Freak Forms Deluxe, Art Academy, or Professor Layton (I would suggest getting Star Fox, Mario Land, or Professor Layton).

Gamestop is holding a promotion to obtain the mythical Pokemon, Meloetta, from March 4, 2013 until March 24, 2013. The event can only use your Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 games to obtain the Meloetta. All you have to do is go to your local Gamestop store and recieve Meloetta by using Mystery Gift inside the store.
